Update on Kai and Whatnot

Kai is at a trainer and has been for a few weeks. Three weeks tomorrow actually. I took her there because 1) she is in need of training. I gentled her, yes, but I feel useless beyond that. The hotter weather also renders me pretty much of a dolt when it comes to horses. 2) I had plans to take a short trip with two wonderful friends to see our really really wonderful old trainers from Ocala who now live with their herd and growing family in Glenville, about an hour SW of Asheville, and I have no place or person to care for her here. 3) Turns out that the Universe needed me to be available for my dearest old male friend, who is in the process of dying.

So firstly, Kai:

YES the feet are being done.

YES I did get on her and actually move forward and back in a saddle.

NO she is not 14.1 as advertised! SHE IS 13.2!!!! For some reason this caused deep disappointment for me. I am still getting over it!

I will put some random images and vids below, including my BLAST of a (relatively boring) ride on Hans, a Friesian/Morgan living with my friends in NC (I now want him). Riding first time in many months and only fourth time in about a year. So be kind.

Because of my many trips out of town for my good friend south of here, I have not seen Kai more than once since drop off. And all I noticed was how small she is. LOL.

Back to some art stuff: I want to donate a piece to It's a Pleasure Training (Orange, MA) and may be posting art images to this art-now-mustang-now-art blog, just fyi.

HANS!!
